Fitness at Durham University
Is there a university fitness centre for students at Durham University? I know maiden castle is only under construction. Paying for tuition and accommodation has me running pretty tight to go and actually get a gym membership. Drop in any information please!
Maiden Castle is open, the construction being for expansions and renovations. It serves as the central university gym, but each college also has a gym - typically at a much lower price, too.
One of the benefits of the collegiate system is the amount of opportunities to get involved in all different sports at college level - so even if you are a beginner of not particularly good at a sport you can still enjoy playing it. The college usually have gyms attached to them too.
