How Competitive Is MSc Biochemistry by Research at Oxford?

I'm currently a Biomed student (leaning towards Biochemistry units), looking to do a solid masters in either Biochem or Biomed.

I am predicted a first, but have nothing in the way of research experience, placements etc. However, I will be an AstraZeneca brand ambassador in my final year of uni.

My question is: how competitive is Oxford's "MSc by Research". Obviously Oxford is notoriously difficult to get into, but I've been looking at other "elite" unis (UCL, Imperial etc.) and the acceptance rates don't seem too bad (typically 40% to 60% for MSc/MRes Biochem/Biomed courses).

However... websites like this put the success rate as low as 5%...

Is anyone here currently on the course, or has applied in the past? What is the interview like? Did you have actual work experience?
