Proportions

I have the question "y is proportional to the cube of x" "Given that y=96 when x=4, find y when x=5.5" How would I do this? I know how to do direct and inverse proportions but this one doesn't say either of those?
If it doesn't specify, assume it is directly proportional, so 96=64k. Solve for k and then answer the question

I think I may have gone wrong somewhere, I got the answer 249.5625 Do you know if this is correct>
