Optometry Bradford University

Hi,
I did an access to HE diploma and unfortunately received a merit on my last assignment as I forgot to write the title.
Due to this, i now have 134 UCAS points instead of 138 UCAS points, had i included the title. It is so disappointing and stressful that this happened as the entry requirement is 136 UCAS points! :/
I don’t know what I should do and I don’t think there’s anything I can do now to get into the course but i am only two points away and I could not have achieved 136 points, it could only be 134 or 138.
Do I contact the University asking for help or advice?

Hello, I hope everything went well for you . I may be moving onto a HE diploma this year to the same course as you at the same university. What HE course did you do? And how hard was it for you to get 134 UCAS points as that is basically the requirement.
Thanks

Hi, I did end up doing the diploma and have successfully made it into university with full credits! It wasn't easy but can be done with effort and good work ethic. If you have done the A-Level sciences recently then it will help because most of the content on my course was carried over from A-Levels with some extra information. You are expected to work independently quite a lot seen as the course is a step up from school and a step down from uni. You should try to get a routine in as early as possible with completing work timely and use previous work as templates. Plagiarism and AI misconduct practices are monitored quite a lot so this isn't something you can cheat you way through. The course I did was very essay and coursework based so we had to start work early to make sure we had ample time to edit/add new ideas/adhere to word counts and specific markers. Let me know if you have any questions and I hope this helped!

Yes, you should be able to do the course but check with the educational institute. There are a various number of courses you can go onto, the majority of my cohort wanted to study pharmacy, optometry etc.

What’s the name of the diploma you did?
