SQE2 prep course ULaw vs Barbri for SQE2 April 2023

Hi, I am looking to start a part-time prep course next month for SQE2, but I cannot decide between ULaw and Barbri. I have read reviews that the Barbri one is 'okay' and they have a high pass mark, but did not hear anything about ULaw. Did anyone do the ULaw SQE2 course or has heard any feedback on it? I already passed SQE1 by self-studying with the books from ULaw which I found very useful, would definitely recommend for those who haven't started yet.

I did the 3 day course with ULaw. It's called SQE2 EXAM prep course. 1000gbp or 750bgp with alumni discount. Having completed the LPC in March 2022 I found their 3 day course helpful since I haven't completed any other SQE prep courses. In their syllabus ulaw covered the tips, best practices, explained the assessment criteria, what's important and what's less. We had opportunity to practice by competing mocks and discussed the exemplar answers. Generally it's been helpful since I'm coming solely from the LPC background.

Hi i need some help and guidance in relation to SQE 1 please drop me your email so i can ask.

I am currently planning for SQE 1 but confused to which course should i opt for SQE 1 preparation and where to prepare from. Should it be bpp, ulaw or barbri. As you cleared SQE1 you would be able to guide me was it competitive?

Looking forward to your kind response .

Whatever course you decide to go for i don't think their oral mocks are enough to get you comfortable with the exams.
I am happy to help with practicing any of the oral skills - advocacy or interviewing. I'll be listening to you and give feedback on how you've done and how you can improve, both the law and the skills part. I offer this as a service, so get in touch if interested.

Hey Anne, I'm in the exact same boat just now! I self-studied with the ULaw books for SQE1 which worked really well. I'm now struggling to decide on the provider for SQE2. What did you end up doing, and how'd it go?

I'm thinking of booking the full-time ULaw course in May, which is 11 weeks until the exam, and perhaps self-studying until then.

Hi, I have just finished my SQE2 20 week prep course with Barbri. I have to say, I have been very impressed with the materials, support and live workshop and tutor calls. I have sat my first two oral assessments today and felt confident and prepared. Barbri support you with live online in person support and you get to practice with a tutor your oral assessments and have feedback. There is lots of opportunity for feedback on work submitted to help you prepare. I would not hesitate to recommend Barbri for SQE 2
