The (signed) area between the graph and the time axis gives the displacement. So at the start the velocity is negative (below the axis) and the displacement is -ve - let's say it moves left by a certain amount. When the velocity becomes +ve again it is moving in the +ve direction - let's say to the right - and when there is sufficient "positive area" to balance out the initial negative area, the total displacement will be 0 i.e. it is back where it started.

Same logic for the next point.
