a level redox question

hello,

could someone explain how they would approach this q? i would just work out random elements oxidation state changes to see if there are increases and decreases.

but i get stuck when the element occurs twice, for example in the first equation. does this mean it is not a redox reaction?

hope this made sense.
thank you!

I do the same by just writing the oxidation numbers above each element and see if there are any changes.

the first reaction is a disproportionation reaction (redox) of Cu+,
in Cu2O the oxidation number of Cu is 1+
in CuSO4 the oxidation number of Cu is 2+
In Cu the oxidation number is 0
Using this you should be able to see that it is a redox reaction
