OCR A biology (a level)

I keep seeing behavioural patterns stuff in past Qs but iv never learned about them... and never been taught it...

what module/topic is innate/social learning theory in and where can I learn about habitual behaviour etc and all the other behavioural types? Google won't even send me in the correct direction and I so far have only been able to learn the content via Mark schemes.

thanks

are the past papers you're looking at specifically for ocr a? the only reference to behavioural patterns that i know of in the ocr a spec is in terms of adaptation - 5.1.1

yeah that's the problem, every website is taking me to the adaption ones. and I'm doing past topic questions on PMT under the OCR A section so I assume they are all OCR A

I have emailed my teachers and if I hear back il send on here incase anyone else sees this

Omg same, when I saw those questions I was confused because we have never learnt anything about that in Bio but I also do psychology so that helped

Are they from the new spec or the old one? A lot of behaviour stuff was removed when the specifications were last changed.

Why is there an AS level biology exam - depth and breadth papers? Who sits these exams ? Do you sit them when you are in year 12and do all schools sit the AS exams

I am in year 12 and am currently sitting my AS exams. Paper 1 biology is bredth and paper 2 in depth. My paper 2 exam is tommorow! bredth is half multiple choice and hald written and paper 2 is soley written. We take 4 a levels in year 12 at my school and most people drop one at the end of year 12 but they get extra ucas points from doing an AS in one subject. AS biology doesn't go towards my A-level next year.

AS level is for the end of year 12, not every school does them but most schools do because if you decide to drop the subject you'll atleast have half an level in it

Thank you! paper one multiple choice questions were very heavy on topic 3 and animal transport. There was a really nice double page at the back on biodiversity. I am expecting more module 2 to come up as it was absent from paper 1. But there is so much content in biology so who knows

I actually hate biodiversity with a passion but animal transport sounds lovely
