I'm probably not the best person to answer for this because I hardly revised for my GCSE's either but I did my English Lit exam last year so I'll try. If you don't really know much about the book in general then your best bet is probably just to search up a quick summary of the book and then look at key quotes, themes in the book and then look at what themes and quotes you can relate to certain characters. Again I'm not sure but just thought I'd give my two cents.
