Urgent! Gcse english language paper 1

Hey Guys,

I need some help, What are the chances of getting a question on english langauge question 5 with only a person in it? if you don't know what I mean, look at the picture below. I am stuck on what I can really talk about in terms of chracter description. pls help!

im not sure what exam board you do, but in edexcel it asks you to talk about a time you did... (blah blah blah) and you don't necessarily have to describe a person. Instead just make sure to talk about the setting and the person's emotions (make sure to show not tell)

Here are some things to do when describing people:

– describe what the look like: are they old, young, rich, poor, etc. Try and think about how you would describe the person to someone who couldn’t see them. (fun game: take a photo, describe it to a friend and have them draw the person from your description. What are the important details?)
– speculate about their personality. Literally make anything up. Do they look kind? Is their appearance a facade? Are they clever? Are they happy?
– zoom in on something. Perhaps it’s the tired look in their eyes or in this case, the phone in their hand. Ask yourself WHY all the time and use this as a jumping point.
– tell me something about them. similar to the speculation about personality, describe them in a way that a close friend would, like a weird throwaway fact. ie. His calloused fingers came from his past dreams of becoming a singer.

one of my greatest fears too ngl, i suppose it depends on the question (i.e. whether it's a narrative/description/both). description would be okay ig but a narrative? i would struggle. literally make up the wildest thing and hope for the best. good luck tomorrow
