"Private candidates may enter for OCR assessments. ... The A Level Physics A qualifcaton requires candidates to complete a Practcal Endorsement incorporatng a minimum of 12 practcal actvites, allowing them to demonstrate a range of practcal skills, use of apparatus and techniques to fulfl the Common Practcal Assessment Criteria. The Practcal Endorsement is an essental part of the course and will allow candidates to develop skills for further study or employment as well as impartng important knowledge that is part of the specifcaton. Private candidates need to contact OCR approved centres to establish whether they are prepared to host them as a private candidate. The centre may charge for this facility and OCR recommends that the arrangement is made early in the course."
