Do I have a stalker on my trail? Well yeah, I was looking for student-friendly options but wanted to why people feel edgy when they wear a leather jacket.

I guess I am a bit too young to better understand the "edginess of leather jackets" in these movies. I would say like Terminator, Indiana Jones could be my stuff. Apologies for sounding like a millennial nerd.

Well, we don't get many threads about leather jackets and I replied to the other one less than a week ago

As noted by Surnia, leather jackets have a cultural association with outsiders or rebellious characters. Outside of media they're often adopted by bikers or people into heavy metal. It's normal for people to dress in common ways with their 'group'.

At school, I don't know why anyone would feel edgy wearing a leather jacket unless it was very unusual there. Most places don't care as long it's not adorned with patches or badges which are deemed inappropriate.

Leather jackets are a must have outfit to make your personality look attractive
Leather jackets have long been associated with a sense of rebellion and individuality, which is why they’re often linked to edginess. The material itself—leather—is durable, sleek, and slightly rugged, giving off a vibe that’s both tough and stylish. When you put on a leather jacket, it instantly adds a layer of confidence and attitude to your look, no matter what you’re wearing underneath. The structure and design of most leather jackets, like the classic biker or moto styles, contribute to this effect. They often feature details like zippers, studs, or asymmetrical cuts that break away from the softness of other outerwear options. This contrast is what gives a leather jacket the power to transform an outfit, making it feel more bold and dynamic. So, when we talk about outerwear adding an edge to someone’s style, a leather jacket is the perfect example. It’s not just about warmth or protection from the elements—it’s about making a statement and expressing a certain attitude with just one piece of clothing.
