Hi! I'm going to apply for a Bachelor of Biology at Groningen University and then I have to take the selection test. Does anyone know how many questions are there in the selection test? What level are the questions?

2. Online selection test

Candidates are also expected to be available for the online selection test, which will be open from 6 February 2023 9:00h CET until 10 February 2023 17:00h CET. Tests submitted after the deadline will not be accepted! Information on where to find this test will be sent to all applicants who have applied for the programme before the application deadline 15 January 2023, 23:59h (CET).

The selection test will be directed towards testing basic skills that are required to fruitfully start the programme and will concentrate on your ability to recognize basic principles of biological organization, structure and function, and apply them to understand the working of the living cell, the behaviour, and (patho)physiology of complex organisms, and the evolution of biological populations. No preparation is required for these questions. In addition, a mathematical test will be part of the selection procedure. There is no specific set of materials to study for this test, but a list of topics will be emailed to you a few weeks ahead of the test.
