LUC(Leiden University College) Discussion

Hey everyone, I just got my acceptance letter for the liberal arts programme of Leiden University, and doubt immediately began to plague me. Is this really good enough of a programme/for me? So I was wondering, does anyone have any experience with it, good, bad, anything you deem worthy of sharing. thank you!

I just received my acceptance letter too and I'm curious about that as well.

So what did you decide? Seems a very good program to me! Leiden is very strong in Politics and Law, which are two of the majors offered at LUC. And it is a honors program.

Hello!
I accepted the offer, though it is not binding yet, and I am still in the process of applying to the PPLE program of UvA, so I'm hoping I get rejected from there and won't need to make a choice in the end:smile:.
I do like lUC a lot but the extremely broad curriculum does frighten me a bit, especially since in theory, we only learn generally about its 4 global challenges in the first year.

I submitted my application for the Master of Clinical Psychology program at Leiden University on February 15th. The university states that applicants can expect a response within 4-6 weeks of submitting their application. However, I haven't heard back from them yet. Does anyone have any insight into why there might be a delay?

Hey I know its been a while since this got posted but I have been waiting a bit for a response for the liberal arts program. I am doing the experience day soon and was wondering how long it takes to hear a response back after the reflection is submitted. Thanks!

Hi. My child is waiting to hear from LUC for fall 2025. Interviewed and submitted their reflection two weeks ago. There is not much chatter in the various forums (here, Reddit, College Confidential) about it. Wondering when decisions will come out, like you. Hopefully soon. Good luck.

Nothing yet. I thought they would let people know on an ongoing basis a few weeks after reflections were submitted but maybe they are going to let everyone know all at once. How long ago did you submit your refection?

I submitted mine the day after the experience, so the 31st of January. Maybe you are right and they will give out responses at the same time. I also got an email saying that they got more applicants this year than usual, that could be the reason for the delay

Hey! I applied early-bird and submitted my reflection on January 31st and just heard back yesterday and got accepted  (almost a month later) have you heard back yet? I think they generally go by who submits the reflection first, so since I submitted it earlier than the final deadline of March 15, I already heard back, im guessing the end of March thing applies more to people who submit the reflection mid-March
