retake

I want to do medicine but i am already in my second year of alevels so I am starting to think it is too late for me to start. I have wanted to do it since january and I was going to retake the year but my teachers advised against it so I left it. I don't know what to do now as I have applied for something nonmedical related but I don't want to do that. As it is hard to do biology and chemistry in 1 year and get work experience.

Then there would be lots of places you could apply to with either Chem or bio and you don’t necessarily need both in a year. Search on here for A level requirements and you will find the lists - actually linked in the generic post above.

As long as you have at least AAA in a first sitting and end up with 2 sciences, at least at an A, you will get 4 options you can apply to

Ah yeah I found some thanks, I am just concerned on how to get work experience and I was just going to do chemistry but then I will have only 1 science

Maths counts as a science in this situation - see the link in the post above 😊
You can apply to hospitals and GPs for WEx, but outside of specific schemes, which you may be a bit late for, it can be hard to come by. But Hospice, care homes, soup kitchens, anything that helps out disadvantaged groups is acceptable. Plus see the WEx thread linked above - there are online things you can do, and these with a public facing part time job would give you plenty of stuff to talk about
