No one can tell you that without more context - every medical school is different and marks differently and will have a different pass mark for assessments. And each year there will be a different spread of marks, so the only person who can tell you how well you’ve done in relation to your cohort on this specific exam will be your medschool. Presumably they will issue decile ranks at some point? If your mark constitutes a pass, then well done, that in itself is a great achievement and you should be proud of yourself 😊

well I was resitting year 3 and the pass mark was 59%

thinking about it now, there were 3 questions that I didn't select the correct answer for but I did know the answer and just because of the stress and anxiety, I didn't select the right one but I did know the answer

Well in that case you passed, congratulations and be proud of yourself! Speaking as someone who scraped through medical school most years and now a consultant doing well - medical school grades are not indicative of how good a doctor you’ll be. You may find that your resit grade is capped at the pass mark for honours / decile purposes - unless of course you have mitigation and are doing it as a first sit.

I want to specialise in ophthalmology and ocular surgery. Would my grades at medical school matter?

Quick google search… Here is the info about ophthalmology specialty training applications. Generally - no, med school grades do not matter for specialty applications. Different for foundation applications though. Always comes with the caveat of, it will likely change before you get there - but good to look at from time to time to know roughly what’s expected and where they award points.
