The Student Room Group

Which of the functional groups consist only of carbon and hydrogen?

i know it would be all the alkanes and enes,

but would it also be the alkynes? but since these alr have carbon to carbon triple bonds there is no room for H to bond? right?
Alkynes have hydrogen bonds. A triple bond in the chain means that there is still one bond free for an H-atom. So alkynes are hydrocarbons too.

Summary: all alkanes have methyl groups (CH3-), alkenes methylene groups (CH2-) and alkynes methine groups (CH-) in their hydrocarbon chain.
