First identify the functional groups in compound A
Alcohol (OH) and carboxylic acid ( COOH), which is a weak acid
Metal + acid -> salt + hydrogen

I drew the last one as displayed, as I found it difficult to draw it in skeletal
You need 2 for the last one because
Compound A has 2 carbons
Do make it cyclic structure, you can have 4 carbons in a ring
And it said ‘dimer’, meaning you need 2 monomers
