Hi, how is your Psychology conversion at Wolverhampton going? I'm considering enrolling for Jan 2025 and would love to hear your thoughts and if you'd recommend it?
I embarked on the Wolverhampton full-time online MSc Psychology (conversion) in January but abandoned it within a few days. The administration was unacceptably incompetent and completely chaotic. Had I remained, I would have had a nervous breakdown. I have done online courses before and thought I knew exactly what to expect: not so in the case of Wolverhampton! I'd love to hear from anyone who has succeeded in staying the course. As the modules sounded fascinating and I had been looking forward to the course immensely, I was so disappointed.

Hi anon. I'm sorry this happened to you! Big hugs.

I'm currently considering Wolverhampton. Could you please share what made the admin incompetent and what made it chaotic? I'm trying to learn more about the student experience before enrolling.

There was no co-ordination at all. Essential introductory and ongoing information for students was spread about, scattered through several documents instead of being in one place and easy to find. I have never seen anything quite so random and haphazard. A serious student genuinely wanting to learn would have stood no chance of remaining sane. There is not even a reading list available in advance of the course and that is an indication of the nature of the "course". It had been hurriedly concocted and not thought through. Please do not waste your time with Wolverhampton MSc: apply to a good university and do a proper MSc conversion course in Psychology. It's probably useful to remember that "you get what you pay for"! I hope the University has improved matters by now... but I wouldn't be at all sure! Unfortunately, it is impossible to judge until it is too late.
