Just wondering....

I think they issued a statement saying something like they were very skeptical about it because it would give false hope to people who werent predicted 3A's but went on to get them because they wouldn't have any places. I'm pretty certain they will be full up long before adjustment begins.

Cambridge will not be making places available during the adjustment period.

I've never heard of the 'adjustment period'. What is it?

I don't imagine Oxford or Cambridge (please, OP, separate the two - the universities are not one homogeneous mass!) will ever get involved in this. They spend lots of time and effort picking their students... any Johnny-come-lately who rocks up after results day has no hope... the places have already gone.

Oops.
Well that was a good move...

It's a shame because a post-qualification application system is far better. But that would require a bigger overhaul of the A-level system.
