Unknown number called.. Could it be my interview?

I missed the call and it was an unknown number that rang at around 9am. There was no voicemail. My mum said not to worry because if it was for an interview it wouldn't be an unknown number ad they'd leave a message for you to call back. Has anyone been called for an interview by an unknown number? I'm expecting a call from Next retail btw. Thanks!

They should call you back if it was an interview. Did they not email you with a time? Probably just PPI or some Payday loan company, nothing to worry about.

Yeah that's true. They emailed me saying they will phone me as soon as possible (could be up to two weeks away though) to arrange an interview time. I'm hoping it was!

i've always worried if I miss the call they'll chose another applicant because I didn't answer, but that's stupid considering they can't expect me to be with my phone all the time.

I have applied for several jobs for which the telephone interview was conducted by an 'unknown number'. On one occasion I also missed the call, but they contacted me again after a few hours, so I'm sure they will call you back! :smile:
