Anyone have tips on boosting scores, mostly VR and DM?

My average score is around 2700 but I’m not happy about it. VR and DM are definitely my weaker 2. I’m averaging around 650 in them. I’ve tried focusing on them more the past week, especially common questions types. I haven’t noticed much of an improvement when i do practice questions/tests.

My exam is in a week and I’m worried I don’t have enough time left to improve.
Hey there, thanks for posting a question in the Medicine forum.

For VR I would say spend most of your time reading the first 8 texts in detail and answering the questions as accurately as possible. It's better to read the text thoroughly once and answer all remaining questions quickly, rather than skim the text for each question.
As for the remaining texts, once you have answered the first 8 texts in detail, use your remaining time to skim through the texts and answer as many questions as possible.

Essentially in the first 8 texts focus on the quality of your answers, while for the remaining texts, prioritize quantity over quality.

For DM other than practice all I can really say is that the whiteboard/paper you are provided is your best friend. Visualising the questions makes it far easier to solve them, as trying to solve them all in your head can become far too confusing and time-consuming.

Good luck for your exam, and make sure to warm up on the day by attempting some practice questions (not mock tests), it really makes a difference!
