Kcl ucat

I’m thinking about applying to kcl 2730 b2 ucat. I know my ucat is quite low but I achieved 10 a stars at GCSE would this give me a competitive shot for dentistry or medicine at KCL as I know they weight both ucat and gcse very highly. Thanks in advance and please if anyone has any advice or personal experience can they let me know because I saw the mean for dentistry was just 2680 (not sure if the website was reliable as that seems way off) and for medicine 2920.

Congrats at your UCAT, that's a pretty competitive and high score for most medical schools, however it would probably be very risky for KCL. Whilst you would've scored the max 40 points for GCSEs your UCAT would bring down your overall score.

What would be a good ucat score for Kings?

The average UCAT for 2022 entry was 2920. I'm probably going to end up applying for the EDMP at KCL, lower grade requirements + lower average UCAT

Hi all
can you please tell me how KCL use the points score system.
I saw above it was mentioned 40 points for GCSE.

So since KCL considers both 8's and 9's to be A*s, this is how the scoring system works according to a FoIA that was required a few years back. It's important to note that the scoring system inviting applicants for an interview may change annually per the KCL website, so it is possible that KCL may score GCSEs differently.

5 A*s = 10 points
6 A*s = 20 points
7 A*s = 30 points
8 A*s = 40 points

If you have less than 5 A*s you score nil points.

Hi, they don't score A-Levels however they do score UCAT.

If you have a high UCAT score, it may compensate for low GCSEs.

Hi
thanks for the information. I looked it their website but couldn't find reference yo their scoring system and what was their UCAT cutoff in the previous 2 of 3 years.

How does KCL do points for UCAT? I max out the GCSE score but my ucat is 2690 b1. Any ideas what my total points would be and what the most recent points cutoffs for interview are?
