Medicine Application with a nursing degree done internationally

Hi guys. Good day.

I am currently working as an ICU nurse here in the NHS. I have decided that I wanted to pursue my dream of becoming a doctor and am planning to take the undergraduate route in the future (perhaps 2025) entry.

I have seen in most universitieswebsite that as undergraduate entry level for medicine, it is required for applicants to have A levels on hand, which unfortunately, I don’t possess. Although I have a nursing degree, I have finished my education in the Philippines and NOT in the UK and therefore I did not undergo GCSE or A-Levels. My question is, am I able to use my nursing qualification as an alternative for the A levels? On top of this, I have finished Level 7 Critical Care Course for Nursing at King’s College University of London with 60 credits and finished 30 academic units of Masters in Nursing subjects back home (Philippines) though I did not finish the entire master’s program due to financial reasons.

If no (which I think the case), I did my research about access course to medicine as for mature students like me. I am planning to do the online access route (since I am working full-time). Do you know which medical schools accept or doesn’t the online access route to medicine?

Thank you so much

I would suggest that you contact the admissions team at the universities you're considering studying at, and ask the questions of them.
