BBB-BBC Universities for History.

Hey,

I'm applying for History in 2012, and am therefore looking at Unis. I have my preferences, with the higher grades, but I'm looking for a BBB-BBC University for
back up.

Can anyone help me?

Sorry for Hull it is ABB. Trent is definitely 280 points (BBC). De-montford offer 260 points (BCC) with a B in A level history.

Hull used to be BBB, but they put the grades up this year.

Essex you need about BBB, if thats helpful, and Keele university.

Essex, Swansea, Aberystwyth are around that area I think. Royal Holloway might be as well however I've got a feeling it's more likely to be ABB.

Royal Holloway wanted AAB last time I looked, I think Swansea is also higher.

Hull is ABB, I applied this year which was the first year they upped it to that.

Just had a quick google/UCAS course code search (i assumed V100):

Reading uni- one of their offers is 340 points from 3 A levels and an AS (otherwise they want 320 from just 3 A levels) This would be a good one if you do well in your AS!
Bangor uni- (which is lovely, I have a friend there who loves it) ask for 240-280 pts

De Montfort uni- ask for 260 points

Nottingham Trent-280 pts

Sheffielf Hallam- 260 points

Hopefully this gives you a few ideas :smile:

Use the course code search on UCAS, it'll list everywhere that does your course :smile:

Aberdeen want BBB (which is a pretty underrated uni, like Hull)

Keele Want about BBB-BBC (260-320 points)

Going on ones that fit your requirements but also that I know people have applied to/attended from my school:
Chester 260-300 points
Chichester ( boy in my history class is in LOVE with Chichester) BBC-BCC
Stirling BBC

Portmouth, Plymouth, Edge Hill, and Kingston fall into the BBB-BBC bracket that you're looking at as well as the others that people have mentioned :smile:

I think Aberystwyth is 300 for History, or at least is was last year.
