Yep, St Anne's. Ahh yes Moody was great  Just nobody could compete with Pugh's buzzer speed (or his Girls Aloud knowledge...)

I was worried Paxo would penalise him for his stammer at one point, though.
Katie Price? Is she capable of coherent speech that isn't PEEEEEEEEEEEETAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH or ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEXXXXXXXX?

Yeah, I've read that, should be good. I'm hoping to get involved in the competitive side of debating too, although the amount of competition is a bit daunting. My dad nearly spoke in a debate on the two-state solution a year or two back. :p:

And just signed up! Ah, internet, you make spending £200 so easy.

Scary how it can do that. The members bar looks pretty good, too. I think that after buying somewhere between 150 and 200 pints there, at £1.50 each, I will have made the membership fee worth it.

You're not going to speak for abolishing private schools, surely

I'd like to speak for their retention, despite my dislike of them.

Up for creating the "drink back your Union membership" society?

I think so. Stuff debating. This'll make it worth it. We're saving nearly £2 per pint this way.

If you can pay with your Bod card then we don't even need to worry about how much it'll cost until the next term anyway.

The problem with kicking things into the long grass is that they inevitably come back, only now they're covered in mud.

Should be a very interesting debate that one.

Private schools should definitely, definitely be kept, even though I normally hate it when people use "penalising the rich for success etc etc" closing private schools would be the very definition of dragging the rich down in the name of equality.

The idea of being able to charge everything to one card scares me

Yeah but we don't have to worry about it until JANUARY! That's next year. Pretty much another decade.

Bad news guys, as far as I know you can't do that at the Union. Most pay-with-bod-card schemes are run by individual colleges, and they're almost universally pay as you go. Sticking stuff on battels only really gets used for little things like printing and getting your post franked. Probably precisely for this reason  Also, £1.50 for a pint is pretty standard for most jcr bars - at Catz it's £1.19 for the cider. Hope that doesn't dampen your Union aspirations, it can be a really interesting place if you manage to avoid all the hacks. Somehow...

I'd be up for a poker meet up if you do organise one.
