If your looking for group chats unifi could be good to look into, found a bunch of my course mates on there before I officially came so we all knew each other during freshers.
Once you get your offer make sure to check out the Facebook groups, I was able to find all my first year flatmates this way.

congrats! i just got accepted today too, i found a facebook group online that seems to be p decently popular, abt 4.6k members (some might be from previous years tho idk). I'll check it out and lyk if it's any good
