I thought Adobe had released an updated version with ICS support?

I read this back in December, but have any users actually got flash working on non-rooted ICS devices?

Looks like Sky Go doesn't work on ICS either. I think I'll pass on ICS for now.

Flash has ICS support.
Sky Go as well as not working on ICS also won't run on a rooted device.

Annoying. I do watch the odd bit of football.

No one have an answer on my Orange query?

generally speaking it will have a 2 year warranty as they are supposed to last the duration of standard contracts. Payg should have at least a year. They may want to send it for repait though rather than give youa new one
Is Tap Tap Revenge 4 pissing about for anyone else?
(Samsung Galaxy Ace, level 4-I think- and Android 2.3 Gingerbread)

I was actually hoping for money back but if repair's all I'll get then I can deal with that.

It would be very very tough to get your money back unless you bought the phone within the last 28 days

Oh well. I'll unroot/stock my device and go into a shop and see what happens.

yea, only worth going into an orange store if you bought it from the store, AFAIK Orange keep their online and shop businesses separate.

I didn't even know Tap Tap was on Android.

This!!

I did buy it in the store so I'll go for that.

Well if it doesn't go well and you want some sales of goods law to fight them with I can dust my skills off - spent the last 3 months in a job making tea.

Are there any games like icy escort for the iphone on Android?

I've been looking at some of the free apps and games on Android Market, and it's quite worrying just how much information they have access to. Even the top rated ones want your location, phone details, personal information - essentially it's all glorified spyware. I avoid downloading the free apps as much as possible but some are really quite useful. Is there any way to stop them data mining though?

If you're rooted, download 'Permissions Denied'. It's able to block the permissions of most apps. There's also 'DroidWall' to block Internet access to specific apps.

Thanks. Unfortunately my Galaxy S2 is not rooted - have had it for less than a week now and I've not yet looked into the process of rooting and whether that would cause any contractual problems with Orange. A lot of the software that's piqued my interest requires a rooted phone though. Would you recommend it? Is it difficult?

Yeah, in terms of the increased functionality you get over the phone I would definitely recommend it. It's really quick and easy; I used this guide to root mine.

You can also unroot if you ever needed to return it.

Cool, was just having a look at that guide myself. Will have a proper read of it when I'm next on my laptop. One thing that might cause an issue is that I only have Mac OS but I could probably use a friend's Windows machine if need be.

Does anyone know if Kobo Vox (the e-reader that runs Android) has access to Android Marketplace? I've seen it being mentioned in a lot of publicity material, but then as soon as I Google, it talks of having to hack into the software and root it to be able to use Marketplace, etc (I don't know much about technical terms!), which I don't want to/can't do.

It talks of a limited app store - GetJar - but if it's limited then that kinda ruins the appeal of an e-reader that has apps.
Still no ICS on my SII.

Does it not have to be approved by your networks?

(Assuming you didn't buy the phone SIM-free....)
