I don't think tarring an entire country of 180 million people like that is reasonable. I mean my parents are from a country that absolutely despises Pakistan (cf. info on 1971 Bangladesh Genocide) and yet I realise that's silly because there are good and bad people everywhere. You can't blame an entire population for the actions of a few.

No it's not really, obviously not everyone in Pakistan is terrible but the majority are. Most of them our hateful people and I think generilisations are acceptable

Lol, I have to admit that I like your style of thinking.

edit: Not saying I agree nor disagree with what you said though.

I'd have to disagree. On what basis do you think most of them are hateful?

I have to admit, like you I never really paid any thought to the reasons behind my negative perception of Pakistan until I came across 'Humans of New York's recent tour of Pakistan. It was a serious eye-opener. They're people like everyone else and the main victims of all the terrible things the media tells us about them.

Actually, for that matter, no I'm not.
Regardless, I like the way he thinks, regardless of whether I actually agree with what he says, and whether I see flaws in his points or not

#justsaying.

"Rotherham child sexual exploitation scandal"
...
It conservatively estimated that 1,400 children had been sexually abused in the town between 1997 and 2013, predominantly by gangs of British-Pakistani men.[6]Abuses described by the report included abduction, rape, torture and sex trafficking of children.[5]
...

No doubt there were some in government who were to blame, largely due to fear of political backlash and playing the tip toe around Islam political correctness game.

They still kick ass at cricket tho
My oh my

Because there aren't sex rings elsewhere in the world. I don't care about the "well it happens the most in India and pakistan" reasoning, all cases in EVERY COUNTRY committed by each person from whatever race they're from should be paid attention to and combatted with the same level of concern.

Fair point and I agree. My intention was not to single out Pakistan, however the subject title is the title of the article that I posted. You are also correct, that every country needs to prosecute these criminals.

I will say looking into why Pakistanis are involved with these abuses, this might explain to some degree why.

SAN FRANCISCO: According to the data released by Google, Pakistan tops the list of most porn-searching countries and leads the way in porn searches for animals like pigs, donkeys, dogs, cats and snakes

Doing a search for "top 10 countries that watch the most porn" you'll find a lot more info, Pakistan and other muslim countries are generally 6/10 over 50% on the list.

Not sure people should focus on the country being shamed, as the protection of kids and catching these sickos is more important than making your country look good. You need to deal with the problem.

You are seriously such a ****ing bellend. why are you always generalising and hating on us asians?
Another example of this site's incredible ignorance and xenophobia (as well as another million things). One day you insecure bunch will grow up and understand life more and learn how to judge things properly - well, some of you anyway. Until then you can feel free to continue embarrassing yourselves.
People who have never been to Pakistan, coming out with some absolute garbage... why does that not surprise me?

You've obviously ignored places like
Rotherham to come to that conclusion.
