How does UMS work

Is grade based on your raw percentage mark or UMS

However, percentage is not always the same as UMS. I know UMS could be higher than your percentage, but could it also be lower?

If I consistently get A/A* border in past papers, can I assume UMS will bring me up to an A*?

Thanks
They just add up a bunch of numbers and it gives you your grade

I know that the grade boundaries change each year depending on the difficulty of the paper each year and that UMS is always the same, so 90 = A*, 80 = A etc....
Sorry not to be more helpful but that's all I got :colondollar:

Your teachers will almost certainly have used the correct raw/UMS conversion when marking past papers to give you that A/A*, so no.
