Then there is hope for that A. Assuming that it isn't maths or a science - which should mean that you're okay.

its psychology, i've been watching videos and making notes for about a week now. Do you think this will help me?

Comments and reactions:
A little bit disappointed on German. I was 7 UMS off an A* and my teacher said that AQA marked my Writing Assessment harshly, but they are still deciding whether I could get that 7 marks if they pay £50 to remark.

Surprised on History. I've never gotten B or above in mocks, but I got an A* in the Germany paper. Maybe my teacher is harsh on marking?

Future ambitions:
Go to sixth form.
Already done AS Maths this year, so I will be doing A2 Maths in Year 12, and then A2 Further Maths in Year 13.
So I will set Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry for both AS and A2, and German only for AS.
Plus Chinese since it's my mother tongue.

My target university is Cambridge, which means that I need to work very hard in the following two years. I hope they won't look down on to my 2Bs in English.

Okay thank you

No problem:h:
I couldn't be happier with myself for my grades, but I'm aiming to go to Oxford, Imperial or Durham, so I'm not sure if my results are good enough.
English Lit A*
English Lang A*
Maths A
Further Maths A
Art A
Spanish A*
History A*
Biology A*
Chemistry A (2 off an A* so remark)
Physics A (5 off an A*, contemplating remark)
DT Product Design B (have to say the coursework element is my teachers fault)
image.jpgI'm also proud that in the Biology Unit 3 I got 100%... Somehow. 😂
Core science aqa: Predicted B
Achieved: A (359 mark)
I am 1 mark away from an A* which is 360.... I'm not sure if I should re-mark my paper, as I desperately want that A* >.< Also I heard the correcting has turned quite stricter, so I am not sure. Has anyone been successful with remarking??? especially in sciences....
Year 11 (June 2016):
Maths: A / A
English Language: A / B
Spanish: C / D
Further maths: C / B
Additional Science: A / A
Further additional science: A / A
Geography: A* / B
BTEC Sport: M2

Year 10 (June 2015):
Core Science: A / B
English Literature: A / B

Really wish I had done the year 10 exams in year 11 as I really believe I would have done much better but oh well. I'm so impressed with my maths and further maths result (got a U in December). Also really happy with further additional science result (got a D in December). However, I'm absolutely gutted about geography I just don't know what happened, really disappointed and so was my teacher. I didn't have a teacher all year for English language either so I'm pretty pleased with the B. Spanish, kinda expecting it oh well. I'm doing studying Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Geography at sixth form.

Well done everyone the results on here are amazing! Also quite proud of my school, last year they were one of the worst colleges around with only 27% A*-C's, shocking! But this year massively jumped to 69.9%, record-breaking for the school.

If I were you, I would because even if you get lower than before, you will still get an A (40 UMS between each grade)

Yeah that's what I thought, but its quite costly. My school said its £34 for remarking but I think it's per unit, not really sure... Therefore I would need to pay around £100 for b1, p1, c1...

I was rather frustrated about English Lang + Lit and Sociology because my mocks and work were up to an A* standard, hence why I haven't hesitated to have all of these remarked (I was only one mark off an A* in English Language!). According to my UMS, I lost 24 marks one of my English Lit exams, which baffles me because I had recently achieved an A* in a mock shortly before I sat the exam; also, my analytical skills did not change during the English Lit exams, which leads me to think that some examiners have been marking unfairly.

Am I embarrassed to request remarks? Not at all because, in an era where fewer examiners are available to mark a greater number of papers, it is all the easier for examiners to make mistakes or view work, particularly in essay-based subjects like Sociology, in a different light to how another person would. Ideally, I don't want to be in a position to need remarks, yet I'm proud of myself - alongside other people in a similar position - to not allow the so-called 'Exam Gods' to wrongly define my abilities!

As for my other subjects, I'm thrilled with my grades, particularly RE as I had only signed up for the second exam less than three weeks before I sat it (due to my school dropping the subject)! Due to Edexcel increasing the grade boundaries, I just missed out on an A in Maths, yet I don't mind because I'm simply glad to be done with the subject. I still can't get my head around achieving an A in Additional Science, says the girl who fluffed her way through the P2 exam...

Future ambitions

Attend my new sixth form - luckily, one of my friends has gotten in (it is a selective grammar school), so I'm relieved to not be starting alone!
Hopefully survive A-Levels (English Lit, French, Sociology and Media) and live to tell the tale!
Study English or English/French at university (haven't selected which one yet)

I am a happy man. I thought I would do terrible but it turned out to be the opposite! But that B slightly put me off - I wanted a clean sheet of As and A*s...oh well, I can't complain. It's still a good grade.

Congratulations to everyone.

I am doing Maths, Physics, Biology and Chemistry for A-Level. I hope to study Medicine in Uni.

English literature: A*
English language: A*
Maths: A (disappointed but not surprise with the boundary)
Chemistry: A :frown:
Physics: A
Biology: A :frown: (A* in the exams but an A in coursework, my damn school ugh)
Geography: B (very disappointed, not sure what happened)
RE: A :frown:
EPQ: A*
French: A*

Overall disappointed with my results if I'm honest. I did well on paper but the coursework (which was promised as an A* and wasn't moderated) for 3 subjects dragged me down. I worked so hard and I feel like the school have kind of thrown it in my face with dragging my grades down.

Don't think Oxbridge is now in the foreseeable future because of these but I'm going off to do chemistry, biology, French and English literature and hoping to become a psychiatrist

Other Comments: Sending off biology additional for a remark as I was 3UMS from an A* in bio, possibly sending a geography paper for a remark to get an A, and then one of the RE papers was 1UMS from an A so perhaps it'll average my overall grade as an A*.

You've done incredibly! You did better than me haha!
