I noticed that there is no thread for this Biology specification so I decided to start one. Feel free to discuss any revision tips, share notes and talk about upcoming exams.

Exam dates:

Paper 1: Advanced Biochemistry, Microbiology and Genetics (7 June 2018)
Paper 2: Advanced Physiology, Evolution and Ecology (11 June 2018)
Paper 3: General and Practical Principles in Biology (18 June 2018)

How hard is A2 compared to AS? I do this spec an I'm in AS now, I'm finding the content fine but the questions stupid - for our paper 1 AS mock, the grade boundaries were 48/80 for an A and i looked online and the A level boundaries are like 160/300 for an A*...

There's a lot more content, and some topics like the microbiology one are quite chunky, but quite a lot links back to AS...the questions are quite weird, but then they lowered the grade boundaries considerably as a result.

I got sth like 0.00921
I’m not sure if it’s right but I divided 93/31 to get 3 million per hectare for US
For Brazil, as it’s 9.4% less than US so I assumed it’s 93 x (1-9.4%) to get 84.248 per 28 hectares which is 3.009214 million per hectare for Brazil so the difference is 0.00921??????
