Precisely. The US will not tolerate, or for that matter enter into discussions with, a group of terrorists who partake in such vile and extreme acts against their fellow man.

In an interview published in today’s Kommersant, the South Ossetian leader Eduard Kokoity said that his people and Russian forces behind them had driven the ethnic Georgians who had been living there out and would not allow them to return, although he said his government would investigate and punish cases of burning and looting.

Kokoity’s words are a rare public acknowledgment by an official that he and the forces under his command or with whom he is working are engaging in what can only be called ethnic cleansing, a form of genocide.

Egypt stands by the view of Russia in the light of continued hypocrisy in the foreign policies and power politics of the USA. Egypt would like to remind the international community that Russia's involvement in Georgia was provoked by Georgia's military operations in South Ossetia, in the view of protecting it's own citizens. May Egypt also remind the American delegate that the continued presence of Russian armed forces in Georgia precipitated as a result of the counter productive actions of the USA, and had the US not precipitated a power struggle by calling for the immediate withdraw of armed forces, they would have been withdrawn at a faster rate. The paper tiger of American moral primacy has caused the ongoing situation in Georgia.
