Wrong forum.
I still haven't decided whether I'm doing 3 year or 4 year course :gasp: . You might go to uni and end up hating it and wanting to get out of higher education ASAP
Well I've been thinking and I want to carry on with Psychology once I have finished my degree, I really want to go all the way with Psychology!
If I go to LJMU I wanna go to Bangor then to do either Clinical Health Psychology or something with Child Development.
I know it's hard to get a good career in Psychology and takes ages but I'll do my best

I just hope I like Psychology when I get to uni. I've also thought about teaching too....
I have been thinking about it and looking at post graduate courses but I also want to wait and see how I feel about further education after my degree - I might not want to do anymore after the 3 years. :P

I also want to get some work experience in terms of student media and work experience in schools to help me decide what to do. I think I will need to do some form of post grad education unless I get a good graduate job (haha not likely though) as I am doing an English degree.

I'm fairly confident that I want to go on to study beyond doing a degree, but I was just wondering how many 2010 freshers have an idea of what sort of postgraduate qualification they want to pursue.

Me! Me!

I'm doing a joint philosophy and psychology (hopefully) and as long as that's acceptable as a degree to go on further for.. I'd like to do Anomalistic Psychology. So I'd go and do an MSc then a PhD. Win.
I think its a bit early to decide without having been yet. But I am also interested in a PhD; maybe a Nanoelectronics, Spintronics, Photonic, Particle and Quantum Physics direction. Seems exceptionally interesting!!

I will hopefully get onto the MEng Electronic Engineering first though!

Yeah, I've been planning on my postgraduate for a while now. I would love to be at Durham or UCL to do an MA in ancient history.

I would love to be able to carry on and do a DPhil in some interesting chemistry field, it appeals to me a great deal :daydreaming:...

But realistically, there's no point getting all hyped up about it at the moment - I mean I'll be pleased enough to last me a while when(/if) I even get on to the actual degree course. And who knows, I might be fed up of education by the time I get to final year... I can hope otherwise though :o:.

I'm doing international relations at sussex next year, and I think I'll attempt to go straight into a Masters in perhaps Middle East Studies, as that's my area of interest. After that I'd like to work for an NGO for a year, and then try to get a job in journalism (which in itself requires another qualification) and then go on to get a PHD.
Or that's that's the plan at least : )

Does anyone know what kind of credentials I need to do a Masters in Business Administration?
I'm not a 2010 fresher anymore because I've decided to take a gap year, but I love the look of UCL's IMESS course and a few others. I'm pretty sure I want to do an MA on European Politics/International Relations or, even better, specialise in Eastern European history/politics/languages.
Not a fan of looking too far in the future (I haven't even bloody started yet!) but if I get three uni I plan to either go on to writing, take a PGCE or follow on with a MA.

Yeah, I've looked into a few options.

MSc Speech and Language Sciences at UCL or Sheffield (accredited course leading to qualified SLT status)
If I decide to go into research/further study then MRes in Language, Discourse & Communication at King's
PGCE (English) at IoE, King's, Exeter, Bath or York
Currenly on Conservation Biology and all being well i'm hoping to go onto a MRes/PhD at either Bristol, Bangor, Kent, Glasgow or Leeds depending on how this course goes/where my interests develop/who'll have me/whether I go onto a PGCE in Secondary Science. Really depends on whether I want to go into evolutionary biology or carry on with conservation biology.

Unless I get a job in the time between graduating and starting a PG degree, in which case this will all get tossed into the air.
