How is the Sankarea manga? I'm about 95% certain I'll start collecting but I thought I should check on here first 
I really enjoy it. Mostly because it's nice to have a shounen romcom that isn't a harem for a change. :P & I quite like the way it handles the zombie side of things.

From the current season, I'd suggest Aldnoah Zero, Barakamon, Sabagebu!, Tokyo Ghoul and Akame ga Kill!.
In terms of complete series that ended earlier this year, I'd recommend Sidonia no Kishi, Hitsugi no Chaika, Kill la Kill, Hoozuki no Reitetsu or Noragami.
Hope something there catches your interest.

Sounds like your typical shounen stuff.
I'm quite excited about next season's offerings, personally, but more on that when I put together my preview thread this weekend.

I think Log Horizon definitely manages to hold its own. The first season was just as much about building a functioning society within an MMORPG as it was about the action typically found in shounen anime. I'm definitely looking forward to season 2.
