- I'm in a similar hole to Popa Dom. I did French A2 a year early but possibly won't count towards the offer, which is a shame. But not complaining!

That's bloody outrageous! :mad:

I'd encourage your school to write and kick up a fuss. It says in the department prospectus that the standard offer is AAA.

I've heard of AAAB, but AAAAB takes the biscuit and just penalises you for taking 5 A-levels. That's just WRONG! :frown:

Why? It's up to them what they offer, and always on an individual basis. They may not have given the offer if he wasn't doing 5, so it's not penalising him for it. I've seen people given offers for subjects they've not taken, if they believe they're needed - I've known an E&M offer to be given conditional upon a maths grade when the candidate wasn't taking maths beforehand, since the tutor felt he couldn't give the offer without that background in maths.

probably not i barely stay in the JCR..did you?

i only really went in the JCR after dinner, and occasionally in the afternoon berfore dinner...and to check that notice board to see if i had anymore interviews....

i was usually out and about in oxford....christmas shopping.

did you do the quiz on tuesday night?

well, maybe we bumped into each other once or twice :p:
