71.5

I might have got that, can't really remember. It was definitely 70something.5

Did everyone get the resistance as quite a big number on the capacitor question?

I got 6000 but other people got 60000 :/

NOOOOOOOOOOO I got 70 degrees.

i think to did tan-1 (a/o) rather than tan-1 (o/a) i made the same mistake as you initially but changed it as i knew it was unreasonable

forgot to multiply by c^2 on the binding energy one!

Feel like a right idiot.

Completely forgot about resistivity equations, and for the de brogile "why cant the electron V be p/m" I wrote about the Heisenberg uncertainty principle because I completely forgot about rest mass. Ergh.

:frown: :frown: :frown: Brb jumping off a cliff. I better get at least an A in Physics.

Time to bring my Phys 4 grade up.

Well I need an A* for Uni, and the Maths C3 Exam was just horrendous. Even if I get 100% in C4, I will only average out to 88% or so.

Don't count yourself out just yet, I'm sure you'll get some credit and it seems likely the grade boundaries will go down a little.
I agree about C3 though. I did get answers for everything but they don't seem to agree with people on here haha!

I got 1.2x105 ohms....

January 2013 -
81/100 A
74/100 B

Jun 2012 -
77/100 A
70/100 B

Not sure what the boundaries will be, I finished 15 mins early as well. ARGH.

yeah 1.2x105 ohms is right

Overall I believe the paper was straight forward. These are some of the numerical values I got - hopefully to be compared with teachercol later. They are all in order, however I cannot quite remember how the questions were split or the units:
575
120,000
0.00144
1.75x10^10
1.76x10^-4
15.5
1500
2.3x10^7
7.22
8.58x10^-4
6.63x10^-20
4.62x10^9
2.25x10^-14
1.21x10^-12
1.02x10^-18
9.48x10^15
6.42x10^6
7.91x10^9
71.4

C3 Edexcel as ridiculous from Jan2009-Jan 13 Papers I got 72/75 first time round. This paper was non-sense.

Im on 77/100 for C3 and 74/100 for C4 already and I smashed D1, so I am probably on an A for Maths right now.

But for Chem 4 I got a B (retaking) Chem 5 I'm depending on Boundaries

Now Phys 5 (depending on boundaries), and Phys 4 (retaking).

UCL is out of the question but to get into KCL I need AAB so I need to get like 100% in my last 3 exams.

Oh no.... it seems like the paper will have a 95+cap.... How do you guys find the Jan13 paper compared to this one?

all you had to do was work out the decay constant by doing ln2/half life, then t= ln0.011/-decay constant

Yes I know, but I was proving that it had to be between that range as well.
That was a really tough paper, I hope the flipping grade boundaries are low!

In the binding energy one did you have to include the mass of the 4 electrons?

Jan 13 was by far easier than this and this was slightly harder then june12
so..
68-72 for an A
61-65 for a B

January 13 was the same standard as this.

When my teacher marked Jan 13 I got around 78/100. I thought I did okay in this one but it seems that most of my answers were incorrect.

No. It's binding energy per nucleon, and electron is not a nucleon.

January 2013 was the exact same standard. This paper had 11 Questions and hence on average the questions were going to be easier.

Despite wishing for Low Boundaries I will be very surprised if Boundaries are low.

Any predictions for the 90% cp?

I got 79/100 in my mock. Didn't find any of my answers wrong yet (because I basically forgot about all of those numbers immediately) apart from the absorption spectra one. I did blue shift instead of red.
