Review on Loreal wild ombré kit?

Has anyone tried the Loreal wild ombré in shade one?I have naturally black hair and I don't want to go blonde maybe more like a light brown like in this picture?Would I get this results with the kit?
Ive used it once and loooved it.. except when I decided to go back dark my hair didn't look in bad condition but it was so porous my hair colour now fades quickly! Mine wasn't blocky but I sectioned my hair and did it like that and tried not to get the lines block straight like a band xx
