Edexcel core 1

Hi, I have been given the responsibility of getting those who failed Core 1 at my local college a better result in the summer. The problem is I am only used to OCR so I was wondering if anyone has some good starting resources for me. I am still trying to get to grips with what they actually need to know, I've done it before but the style is slightly different. Any help will be appreciated...

IMO, honestly, the best resource is the core 1 book itself - 978 0 435519 100

The very best thing, I found, with Core 1 though, is to keep the mental arithmetic up between exams.. it's the first thing to go when you stop doing it - I say that as someone who retook it and did worse on the second occasion having completed both C2 with a B and S1 with an A since.

For when they need some help though, and when there isn't someone around to explain, or if you want to show something little more engaging than just yourself talking all the time, Exam solutions is great.... http://www.examsolutions.net/maths-revision/syllabuses/Edexcel/period-1/C1/module.php
