Anybody know what's going on with this site? It was, along with this site of course :biggrin:

, easily the best resource on the web for anyone interested in an oxbridge application. I tried emailing the sitemaster, but it seems his email account doesnt exist anymore. Does anyone know if and when this site will be back up and running, or alternatively, any way of accessing the databse, maybe via old cache files?(Or is that total *******s, i havent got a clue about computers :p:

I don't think that I approve of all this researching before you apply. Back in my day, we applied in ignorance and were were damn grateful if we even got to attend an open day beforehand.

No but seriously that site was an immense help! I had no clue as to what sort of qns they ask at interview, but on reading the profiles in that site, I got an idea and got my schoolteachers to ask me stuff like that. Which obviously helped a great deal.

If the resources are available, might as well use it to improve your chances at the application process.

They switched servers. I'm guessing they bought a new domain name to go with the server switch (unless this is a different organization...).

I still can't access the profiles. I'm using that way back machine on the archive.org website and you can access the oxbridge admissions page where all the profiles are but when you click on a profile it just goes back to the homepage. what is going in? Am I doing it right?

Yeah I tried emailing the site master but email was returned so obviously doesnt exist any more.
Im gutted- the site was really good!

Oxbridge Admissions (.org.uk) has been down for ages now and emails to the webmaster are being bounced back.

Applicants for 2007 won't be able to access the OA information which I found really helpful for my application last year, and which many other people found helpful. Is there any way we can set up an alternative website/organised thread with admissions/interview profiles for different subjects and colleges?
