That is not a binomial expansion question

It is a transformation question

Do you know what change to f(x) will give that translation?

-3 in horizontal direction and the mark scheme tells us that it;s:

the thing i don't get is how to get that answer

You have not answered my question

What do you do to f(x) to translate by that vector


For example to stretch x2 in the y direction f(x) becomes 2f(x)
