ladies, what to wear...?

Hi guys,

I'm going to a Gordon Ramsey restaurant next Thursday, and need to find an appropriate, sophisticated dress!

i'm 5ft so sometimes struggle to find stuff to fit.

Any help would be much appreciated

I suppose an indication into my kind of style is saying, I really liked this one (link below) but it's apparently not sophisticated enough :frown:

Thanks!

That's such a beautiful dress! I'd say it's fancy enough if you wear it with some nice jewellery! But going off that, you seem to like skater dresses? What about some of these?

I mean, you're going to a nice restaurant so want to look nice but you don't want to go in a full on ball gown! I'd say the one you picked out is lovely but the above are more formal?

ah thank you so much for your reply! i do think skater dresses are more flattering on shorter girls but I really love any type! i'm thinking black would probably be the best option, cos you can't really go wrong with it and I don't think I suit red at all!

what do you think of this one?

or do you think the cut out is too much?

I would say that's a bit TOO much for a meal personally, also the length may be an issue? (I'm 5'5 and most maxi dresses are still way too long on me!)

well it is a petite maxi..so should be ok especially with heels..

you think it's too much? i don't know though, cos it's such a bloody expensive restaurant..we're having a 7 course meal at the chef's table and its £800!
