Hey it did a little....
So basically you have to use synoptic links...like in Sociology A2, link back to previous topics?
Am I right?

Yeah, basically! So if you are doing any question about the compatibility of an ideology with another (e.g. To what extent is feminism compatible with other political ideologies?), you really want to go back to the core ideologies of Unit 3. Obviously you could talk about eco-feminism and the like in that one, but to be honest it's easier and there's more to talk about if you go back to Unit 3

Thanks:smile:
so talk about liberalism and socialism?
You can't really bring up anarchism can you?

Also it will be yes it compatible with other ideologies...and then answer how it isn't...? Then a conclusion?
How is everyone finding feminism... I CANT GRASP IT AT ALL and I don't know why. It's just so much.

Oh
Its horrible but thats the only book I have. Too late to buy another one.

Hows revision going btw? Which ideologies are you learning?
Just a quick question, is government and politics easy enough to self teach ?
Since my school doesn't do it I was thinking of taking it as my 4th as next year since I only do 3 this year, and I'm fairly in tune politically and economically so is it similar to something like economics work load wise ?

Hey guys. I was wondering if anyone who is doing feminism could explain to me what Mass Culture is and what Second wave feminism is. Thank you xxxx. I am using the Mcnaughton book purely. I really love that book!!!!

I am too! The distinguish between a nation and a race, or between a nation and a nation state??? AHHHHH.. I don't like Unit 4 at all!
they're both easy!
Distinguish between a nation and a race:
NATION is a group of people who are bound together by the same values and traditions e.g. they share the same religion, language, history etc - usually defined by a geographical location or boundaries where as RACE is people who come from the same ethnicity, race is inherited from parents and is genetic therefore un-changeable.

Nation v nation-state:
NATION definition; NATION-STATE is a sovereign political association --> citizenship and nationality overlap therefore one nation within a state ==> nation-state

I'm only good at the essay questions about backward looking and forward looking
Screwed up on unit 3 but now it's time to focus on unit 4. I'm doing Nationalism, Ecologism and Feminism.

Anyone got any decent predictions either by themselves or their teachers??
Does anyone know what two 15markers are likely to come up?
Hi everyone, I've looked through the past papers.

I think multiculturalism for the two 15 markers is very unlikely as it came up in Jan 2013 and June 2014

It's most likely going to be two feminism questions in section A, maybe ecologism if they want to catch us out. But most likely feminism.

Came up with the same prediction. That means there will be a nationalism 45 marker :u:
Just to clarify we are expecting;

15 Markers
Feminism (x2)
Ecologism
Nationalism
Multiculturalism

45 Markers
Ecologism
Nationalism
Multiculturalism
