UKIP were right-another massive rise in immigration particularly Romania & Bulgaria

UKIP proved right yet again on immigration. Despite David Cameron promsing to reduce immigration numbers to under 100,000 the latest figures show another big rise. Romanian & Bulgarian immigration to the UK as numbers go up 15% despite the government promising no big influx (it is now 176,000) and overall EU immigration rises 10.5%

Is it time to say enough is enough & control immigration with a skills/points based system like Australia?

No shock there given relative economic performance and wage disparity. Romanian and Bulgarian immigration is 22,000 up for the year but the A8 countries sent quite a few more.

I maintain my stance on immigration. We should prevent further EU expansion until states meet a GDP per capita requirement. We should cull most non-EU immigration and then give preference to the Anglosphere and developed Asia allowing people to purchase citizenship subject to conditions.

For the working class it is a no brainer or certainly should be.

For employers it is as good as an " incomes policy" it drives down and flattens wages, but only working class wages.
Do think they would be allowed to flood in if it was foreign doctor's, lawyers. Judges and mps undercutting wages?

Yes the government have missed their target, but I don't see how that makes UKIP right about anything. And what's the obsession with Romanians all about? The simple fact is immigrants are a scapegoat for the ruling classes of this country who don't want to take any blame themselves for all our problems. Personally, I think Australia's system is pretty shocking. They've got thousands of people, including children, locked up in immigration detention centres on islands off the mainland where sexual violence and mental illness are common. A number of children have committed suicide in the centres. Not the best...

Bull****.

The BBC article clearly states that the number of Romanian and Bulgarian people working in the UK at the end of 2014 was 176,000. The ''influx'' of working Romanians and Bulgarians was about 22,000:

In the last three months of 2014 there were 172,000 people from the two eastern European countries working in the UK. This is 22,000 more than the same period in 2013.

I wish some kind of points based system was applied to those who currently live in the UK as at the moment we're seeing a big increase in illiteracy. Is it time to say enough is enough & control our population with a skills/points based system?
22,000 additional Romanians/Bulgarians in the work force post-free movement really doesn't seem that many to me...
