Are my GCSE'S good enough for medicine?

I am in Year 11 and I am taking my GCSE'S I want to do medicine at university and i am wondering are my grades good enough.

In year 9 I got:
A - Humanities
A - graphics

In year 10;
A* - Geography
A - ICT
C - French

In year 11 I am predicted;
A* - Maths
A* - Biology
A* - Chemistry
A* - Further Maths
A - English Lang
A - English Lit
A - Physics
A - P.E
are theses good enough?

Although universities do look at your GCSE grades, especially for a course as competitive as medicine, they are not as important as your A-Level grades - you really need straight As to be in with a shot, unless there are other circumstances that might make unis more lenient.

That said, they do count, but yours are pretty strong. I'm not medical but a few of my friends have applied/have places for medicine, and they had either similar or higher grades than yours. So yes, I think you can do it. Just make sure that you really really apply yourself next year. :smile:
So 5A*s, 7As and a C. That is of course good enough for Medicine. Don't worry too much about your GCSE. Those grades for GCSE combined with AAAA at AS level, strong PS and good UKCAT/BMAT score will look good to medical schools.
