Is manor bank for freshers?

Question for current Northumbria students or anybody that knows anything about Manor Bank.

I know that Manor Bank is now private and I've seen mixed answers as to if there are many freshers that stay there, is it a good idea to go there for first year? Not many of the university owned halls have taken my fancy and I like the look of Manor Bank, plus it's reasonably priced. Please help!

Hi Amelia!

I think Manor Bank would be fine for to stay in in first year - this year is actually it's first year as private halls. It's owned by Unite who also own Camden, except Manor Bank is a bit classier in comparison. Normally, when you register for halls, you're asked what year you're in in order for you to be paired with similar people. Hope that helps!
