Drama and musical theatre societies

I'm hoping to study Creative Writing at Brunel in September and was wondering what the drama society and musical theatre society are both like. I think I'd want to be involved in both if they're any good, as I'd like to help write plays for drama and perform for musical theatre. Is that actually manageable? I imagine they're both probably quite demanding. I was thinking drama as the subject related soc and musical theatre as the hobby related soc.

I'd also like to study Spanish level 1 at the language hub, join the LGBT society if it's any good and maybe the wildlife and environment conservation too. I know it would probably have to be one or the other though between LGBT and WEC, but I reckon a soc for a cause would look good on my CV. Plus I care about both of those issues and if I could I'd join them both too.
