Your reaction mechanisms should resemble art. Scruffy loses marks. Ensure that curly arrows start and finish in the correct places.

rtq carefully. If it says use 3 d.p. then make sure you do that. If it says include state symbols then do that.

Check your displayed structures have bonds between O and H or N and H.
Know the definitions to the letter they are easy marks so are the calculations with the exception of maybe a few.
Don't lose any easy marks! State symbols, correct arrow directions (mechanisms and Hess' cycles), definitions and + or - signs for all calculated values! All of these are really simple ways to get marks, even simpler ways to lose them though!

Learn the mechanisms! If you're not geared towards chemistry then they can seem a little daunting, but even if you have no interest or understanding of the subject and plan on dropping it, just learn the structures and arrow directions! At this level they aren't too complicated and are definitely worth learning.

Make sure you're rock solid on your baseline theory, everything else follows! PM if you've got any specific q's and good luck!
