Quick core 3 question

When integrating by substitution, I never know how much working it is necessary to show. For example, if I have differentiated 'u' to and rearranged to get du= -cosx dx (for example) and integral is

(-cosx/tanx) dx

Is it fine just to replace this with

1/tanx du in one step?
