3 months passed and no decision. is it normal?

I applied the 10th of October for the LLB programme, I received an acknowledgement email but no other response. Should I contact the university before Christmas break?

I applied to Edinburgh on the 5th October last year, and didn't hear back until the 21st March.

They just take longer to decide on some people than others - it's completely normal & standard practice that you haven't heard yet.

There's no point contacting the university - you'll just have to wait and be patient.

As @LeapingLucy said, there's not much point in contacting them.

They won't miss, or 'lose' your application. It's all electronic. Edinburgh gets tonnes of applications.
